We collect the travel and identity information needed to provide the service you request. Application details are stored using Google Firebase. Google Analytics measures general website and funnel activity, but our custom events do not include names, email addresses, passport numbers, addresses, application references, or values typed into the form.
1. Scope and operator
This Privacy Policy applies to eTicketDominicanRepublic.info (the “Website,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and the travel-assistance services available through it.
We are a privately operated travel-assistance service. We are not a Dominican Republic government agency and are not endorsed by the Government of the Dominican Republic. This policy does not govern government websites, airlines, accommodations, or other third-party services you may use.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you begin or submit an application, we may collect:
- Trip direction, group type, travel dates, airports, airline, flight number, travel purpose, and accommodation details.
- Name, date of birth, gender, country of birth, nationality, passport number, civil status, occupation, residential address, email address, and telephone number.
- Equivalent information about additional passengers included in the application.
- Customs-related declarations, including currency, ownership, agricultural items, and taxable goods information.
- Messages or other information you provide when requesting help or communicating with us.
Information collected automatically
Our systems and service providers may automatically receive technical information such as browser and device type, operating system, language, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location, timestamps, cookie identifiers, and interaction events. Firebase also creates a pseudonymous authentication identifier when an application is submitted so the database can validate the submission.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, process, review, and support the travel-assistance service you request.
- Validate application fields, organize traveler information, and communicate about an application.
- Respond to questions, troubleshoot problems, and provide customer support.
- Protect the Website, prevent misuse or fraud, and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
- Measure Website performance and understand where users encounter difficulty.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell or rent submitted application information.
4. Legal bases for processing
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, we process personal information because it is necessary to provide the service you request or take steps at your request, because we have legitimate interests in operating and securing the Website, because you have given consent, or because processing is necessary to comply with law.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it for future processing. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal and may prevent us from completing a requested service.
5. Cookies and Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-FYLB0PEEEJ, to understand Website usage. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies and receive device/browser information, the pages you visit, interaction data, and general geographic information. Google explains its practices in its Analytics data safeguards and Privacy Policy.
We record generic events such as application CTA clicks, form starts, step views and completions, validation friction, review, and submission outcomes. These custom events use a restricted parameter list and are designed not to send form values or directly identifying application information to Google Analytics.
You can limit cookies through your browser settings. Google also offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking cookies or scripts may affect measurement, but should not prevent you from reading the Website.
6. How information is shared
We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary to:
- Service providers: Google Firebase and Google Cloud provide authentication, database, infrastructure, and related services. Google Analytics provides Website measurement.
- Authorized personnel: Approved administrators and service personnel may access applications to review, support, secure, and process them.
- Travel processing: Where necessary to fulfill your request, information may be provided to relevant processing partners or official travel systems.
- Legal and safety purposes: We may preserve or disclose information when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business changes: Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the service, subject to applicable law.
Our providers process information under their own terms and contractual obligations. You can review Firebase privacy and security information for more details about Google’s Firebase services.
7. International data transfers
We and our service providers may process or store information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, transfers are supported by recognized legal mechanisms and contractual safeguards.
8. Data retention
We retain application and communication information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the requested service, maintain business and security records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of record, application status, legal requirements, and operational need.
Analytics information is retained according to the settings configured in our Google Analytics property. Some aggregated or de-identified information may remain after individual records are deleted.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to reduce unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. Application access is restricted through Firebase authentication and database security rules to approved administrators.
No online transmission or storage system is completely secure. You should use a trusted device and network, protect access to your email and travel documents, and contact us if you believe information submitted through the Website has been compromised.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on applicable law, including Dominican Republic Law No. 172-13 and laws in your place of residence, you may have rights to request access, correction, updating, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or information about the processing of your personal data. You may also have the right to withdraw consent and lodge a complaint with an appropriate regulator.
To make a request, email us using the contact information below. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting on a request. Certain information may be retained where required by law or necessary for legal, security, or recordkeeping purposes.
11. Other travelers and minors
The service is intended for use by adults. If you submit information about another traveler, you confirm that you are authorized to provide it and to receive communications concerning that traveler.
A parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult may submit information about a child or minor included in a trip. Do not submit information about another person if you do not have appropriate authority or permission.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the service, technology, providers, or legal requirements. The effective date at the top of this page will show when the latest version applies. Material changes may also be communicated through the Website where appropriate.
